In April 2023 Yoo Capital announced plans for one of the firm’s most ambitious and visionary developments to date: Camden Film Quarter. Working with Camden Council, and consulting with local residents, local businesses and community groups at every stage of the project, Yoo Capital’s vision is to build on the success of the British creative industries by providing vital space for the sector to grow in central London and by attracting world-class creative talent to the capital.

The redevelopment of the land to the west of Kentish Town, which currently houses the Holmes Road Depot and the Regis Road Recycling Centre, will deliver a Film Quarter bringing together:

World-class film and television studios with post-production and collaboration spaces for creative companies.
Around 500 new homes, 50% of which will be affordable, delivered in partnership with Places for People.
Two schools in film and television – the National and Television School and the London Screen Academy – creating clear pathways into creative careers.
Over a hectare of new public realm and green spaces, pedestrian-friendly streets, and a proposed bridge linking Kentish Town to Hampstead Heath.
Cultural and community spaces, including galleries, shops, cafés, and restaurants.
£1 billion of investment into Camden’s creative economy and community.
Thousands of new jobs and training opportunities in the film and screen industries.
A creative industries project of national significance and global impact.

This acquisition is on behalf of Yoo Capital Fund III, the first in a series of UK real estate funds led by Yoo Capital and Astarte Capital Partners with a particular focus on investing into the communities and economy of London.
